Disposing Of Your Jar & Excess Wax
You have used your candle and your wondering what to do next? Disposing of your jars and any excess wax is easy and we have included the steps below.
1: Remove the label. Simply start at one of the top corners and pull towards the middle. We suggest disposing label in recycling, as the label is recyclable.
2: Take your jar and run it under hot water. Our soy wax is 100% natural and water solvable. The hot water will melt the excess wax and allow it to break up and wash clearly down the drain. Causing no harm to your sink, pipes or your cities water treatment. Once all the excess wax has been dissolved. The wick will pop up easily and can be put in the compost or trash depending on the city you live in.
3: Take the remaining jar and lid. Wash with hot soapy water if you would like to reuse the jar and lid. If you do not want to reuse it. Place both the jar and lids in your recycling bin. Jars in lids are accepted in every recycling program in North America.
4: Always discontinue using a soy candle when there is less than 1 inch of wax left in the vessel continuing to burn a candle wick when there is no wax left in the vessel will cause the vessel to shatter. Do not continue to burn if there is no wax left. Doing so will result in the vessel breaking.

Note: Our soy candles have actually 13oz worth of wax in each soy candle. Our labels indicate 12oz as we provide additional ounces so users can get their full ounces and have no need to over-burn the candle.
Cleaning Up Spilled Wax
Accidents happen, that is part of life. Our soy way is 100% water soluble and will wash off any surface using hot soapy water. Note: Do not ever move a candle while it is burning. As our soy wax will be hard when cooled but when hot, turns into a liquid and can become very hot. Always practice safe handling of any candle and never leave a candle unattended.
